Reco path 2 Alpes Raidlight Trail

Saturday, June 12, 2010 was held a recognition of the first part of the course of the 2 Alpes Raidlight Trail (scheduled for 4 July).

I was fortunate to attend surrounded by a dozen members of Team Raidlight. I finally met Yanskhov (Spirit Trail blog), Cyril Cointre (Raidlight company), Arnaud, Raymond, Natalie, Jean-Pierre ...

The "ride" was very nice (20-22km and 1600D +) despite mixed weather (gray / fog) that kept us up onto the glacier at over 3000m.

There remains a lot of snow from about 2200, we will be entitled to some "White Trail" 10 good miles between 2200 and 3000m, a race within the race!

Here are some pictures proposed by Arnaud, one of the organizers: Picasa

His Report is done, I advice to the registered Maratour 2010 (Taz go ahead quickly, it has good info!)

We also talk about the forum Raidlight and Kikourou ...

Finally, finally, good news, the watershed will be 10:30, it becomes much more playable for me!

I continue to run with the Ravenous COLUMBIA: this time-rando-race mode, the shoe performs well. The sole is soft but still do not mind in the scree or to climb over some rocks ... Attention has a low cut for fragile ankles.

I could test it for 1 hour in the snow uphill slopes, snowfields on, downhill, in a little powder ... The result is satisfactory. Although the detent means is compared to Salomon Speedcross but the grip is correct: The Devers is not a problem for the Ravenous is handy thanks to its low cut precisely. I was well on wet feet but no shoes (if the moon boots!) Would remain dry after the descent into 30cm of powder snow that we have raced at top speed!

I solved the problem by buying lacing X-Tenex (self-locking) => is now keeping perfect, not a bulb after 4 hours of jogging.

I continue the test on Thursday with four days of training in the Oisans Trail ... they will take a hit of old ;)
