Some time ago I received an email from an agency com indicating the opening of a Jack Wolfskin shop in Grenoble :
I answer the email intrigued by the brand and asking them if it is possible to test the material ... and quick response a week later I run with shoes Trail Jack Wolfskin Accelerate Texapor !
Technical Specifications:
- net fast drying, resistant to 3-D structure (AIR FLOW MESH)
- Nubuck leather synthetic, robust and dimensionally stable
- TEXAPORE O3 membrane waterproof, exceptionally breathable
- breathable lining and quick drying (CIRCULINER)
- sole stabilizing element with light for increased resistance to torsion (TRAIL SPEED)
- damping element in the heel region (SHOCK ABSORB SYSTEM)
- stabilizing factor for the ankle joint and metatarsus (BRACE SUPPORT FITTING SYSTEM)
- stabilizing element between the inner and outer sole (MOTION GUIDE)
To summarize, this shoe is said to be resistant to water, but with a robust shock absorbing sole to practice trail-running in extreme conditions! It's best summed it not? Well it's a little sauce "Ricoré" but we understand better that way ![]()
Test:
At the opening of the shoe box I had as first impression, the vision of a low cut hiking shoe?
I m 'not imagine running with this pair because of its seemingly rigid sole, notched and appearance "robust" shoe ...
After being put on, I realized they were relatively light: 380g (size 43) or 760gr pair which is in the high average of a trail shoe but not necessarily excessive ...
My first outing is held at third on the road and two thirds in the snow of late December, verdict:
If this is to run on the road, past your way! The sole is fairly stiff and the shoe too heavy to take pleasure in place. But they are not made for that course. I still enjoyed the SHOCK ABSORB SYSTEM (damping element in the heel) which relieves the cool mode place the foot on the asphalt.
By cons in the snow I was particularly surprised by the stability of the shoe. The MOTION GUIDE (stabilization between sole ext / int) and sock TRAILSPEED have significant effects.
The maintenance is also perfect: it seems to have the feet and ankles molded into the shoe!
The grip is very good on any terrain, look at the notches of the shoe:
Finally my greatest satisfaction was to return to dry after 45 'in 50cm of powder snow ... my feet were not wet and that's really the luxury ![]()
For snow so I loved his shoes with a flat on the ice road or portions where I found them too rigid.
Mode trail in the mud on the roads clear of snow (last out), I am less satisfied. Competition is much better in terms of cushioning, dynamic ...
Advantages:
- Waterproof membrane ideal for trail hiking or white all seasons
- Maintenance
- Stability
Disadvantages:
- Amortized
- Dynamism
- Weight
To summarize I think Jack Wolfskin has developed here a hiking boot faster and not a true trail shoe that will fill the walker who want to have fun from time to time in a downhill or on flat running on small portions of his walk.
I know what they will serve me now: the weekend of hiking in which Taillefer Trail Team after the release of the day with friends and family I would add a bit of D + by joining a collar above the hut!
The advantage to the climber is undeniably its impermeability and stability.
Its price: € 119.95

the scope of this impermeability is actually pretty phat!
this is their first test pumps trail?
Actually, I think your conclusion is correct.
There's the look she seems to approach the hike that race.
This is also true that keep your feet dry is significant, in my powder but not a lot of mud and puddles. In winter it is almost impossible to get your feet dry!
