Just over 100km traveled with my HOKA COMBO XT, here are my first impressions of his shoes trail running / cross training ...

PRESENTATION (Hoka source):
COMBO XT model comes from the Mafate keeping the same concept "oversize" (EVA cup) but with a narrower footwear.
The sole has cleats more mixed for a combined road and trail use.
This is an ideal shoe for training rides land whatever the terrain. It can also be a very good model for an "Urban Trail" (Lyon, Paris ...)
USE:
For my part, I take this pair when I'm traveling pro because they are versatile: Outputs mixed trail / path, split, road ...
Compared to Bondi, the shoe is "higher on legs" more stable on the trails. By cons, it is less dynamic than Bondi in my opinion.
I therefore advise you if you dare not cross the "steps" between Bondi and Mafate or if you are looking for a more versatile shoe to mix all types of terrain ![]()
